OHIAS' mission is to educate and empower people everywhere to live responsibly, just and sustainable as our natural world requires.   We believe and many will agree  sustainable communities are the foundation stones and life blood of a sustainable planet.

Question of our day.

Are we not obligated knowing all we know about ourselves and our natural world to live responsibly, just and sustainable as our natural world requires.

Preserving the HEALTH of our planet’s life-sustaining capacity is the most important work of our day!

Just as we have come to understand the great importance of our own HEALTH we now know that our growing numbers and unsustainable consumption (lifestyles) have begun to manifest its great destruction of life and property around the world.

While the implications of climate warming might come to mind it pales in comparison to physical damage past and present being cause to our planet’s life-sustaining capacity.

Regardless of what science or technology achieves we will never return to greener, healthier times unless we recognize the great URGENCY of our day and work to make the necessary lifestyle changes to reduce our wasteful consumption (excessive and destructive).

In 30 short years by 2046 our planet will be home to 2 billion more people and 3 billion more global consumers like us in the developed world. This alone should be cause for alarm.  We think so!

Please agree with us.

* We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.
