Our planet’s very fiber and fabric of life is being destroyed so fast scientists from around the world have issued two dire warnings to humanity, our health and all life on Earth is at stake. Either we are not listening or it's our selfish ignorance of the needs of our living planet and others.
There's just one solution we can count on today —making our planet's health our first and foremost responsibly, by living just and sustainable, as one people and planet. This is our challenge today, as tomorrow will be too late to assure our children's future health and justice is better, not worse than today!
OHIAS believes the reason for this is our failure to grasp the reality of our day regarding our planet’s rapid loss of life and life-sustaining natural capacity. Far too many believe it's OK to consume and waste many times more than our planet of 7.7 billion people and growing are capable of sustaining. Continuing down this road and believing government, science or technology alone or collectively will save us and our world's natural life-sustaining capacity is foolhardy. What we need to do is simple, make the health of all people and planet first in our lives, demonstrating uncompromising RESPECT for all people and life. Doing this all things will more naturally fall into place, creating the type of healthy harmony our most beautiful planet and people deserve, and our children especially.
Not totally convinced? Scientists from around our world have come together twice now as one, to warn humanity of the deadly consequences for all life on Earth, if we fail to see the urgency and act responsibly today, as tomorrow will be too late.
Our mission and work is to educate, assist and empower people and community to live more responsibly. An objective of our mission is to end waste as we know it today, especially natural resources and human potential by putting all to work for the benefit of all people, community and planet.
Locally this will be accomplished with the creation of a Marin Community Benefit Cooperative where much of our so-called waste from our built and urban forest environments especially will be transformed into new higher value reuse materials and products for community benefit, by LOCAL PEOPLE desiring wholesome work and opportunity. This COMMUNITY EFFORT and work is vital for a great number of reasons, but most importantly our natural and finite living planet requires it.
