Repair and Restoration —at the heart of REUSE
The Dutch design collaborative Platform 21 has launched a new project to promote repairing things as an alternative to recycling them or throwing them away. Their WEB SITE and "Repair Manifesto" page are highlighted below.
Repair and Restoration are at the heart of REUSE and much about renewal, making things whole again, providing even more service for whom it serves.
Our REPAIR SHOP will be staffed by experienced tinkers, inventors and technicians who believe they are wizards. They with their charm, knowhow and tools can fix near anything and in many cases better than new. If you must have new, we would like your old and tired so they too have another chance to live and serve longer, sustainably.
